The artist about his work:

“I share with the impressionists my love for light and nature, a consistent theme in all my works.

But perhaps my motivation is more personal: When I go outside to paint, I pause there, where I feel comfortable and then try mean Capturing a moment in nature as a picture.

For me, these moments are often the first rays of sunshine in the morning, when nature slowly awakens and I can enjoy the silence and a moment of meditation.

Therefore, you will usually look in vain for people in my pictures: I want to reflect my relationship with nature in its purest form. In this sense, my artistic vision contains a certain amount of nostalgia.

Recently I have also been working on urban landscapes, although this does not represent a contradiction to the above. The places and moments depicted have a special meaning for me, and I treat the squares and buildings in the same way as trees or fields: a surface, on which the light manifests itself.”
