Roman Imhof

Biography:

The artist began painting oil paintings and portraits in youth and is largely self-taught. For approximately 13 years, painting has been a regular and integral part of the artist’s life. Over the past five years, the focus has shifted to abstract, figurative, and semi-abstract figurative art. Prior to this period, the artist created biblical illustrations in watercolor.

Professionally, the artist is a medical doctor and runs a hospital-based practice. Born in Germany on April 17, 1964, the artist continues to pursue an active artistic career alongside a medical profession. The artist lives and works in Bavaria, Germany. For the past five years, the artist’s work has been created in an abstract and semi-abstract figurative style. The artworks are developed digitally on an iPad and printed on canvas. To date, the artist has held one solo exhibition. Recently, participation in an art competition organized by Create! Magazine further expanded the artist’s exhibition experience. The artist is also an active member of an international online art gallery based in Paris.

Since 2013, the artist’s practice has evolved through several developmental phases, exploring a wide range of themes and series, including people, animals, sports, and nature.
